Birthday cards, using my cricut cartridges to cut out the flower shapes and the 'celebrate'.
My card making days are quite young, there's so much improvement needed, this I'm well aware of. However, the more I create...the better these greetings will turn out.
What fun! The 1st two photos were made on $1 Michaels' wood photo frames
The 3 mirrors were from IKEA ($1 for each). The letters "C-A-M-E-R-O-N" were bought for .47 cents each at Michael's also. I used 12x12 scrapbook paper, Hodge Podge decoupage glue and acrylic paint (black & brown). Just a great and inexpensive way to do a lil decorating!
I came across this amazing idea at Chatty Scrapper's house, she also sold these neat 6x6 albums. I immediately purchased two of them (very affordable)...my wheels were spinning endlessly until my albums arrived via UPS. They have really neat 6x6 plastic sleeves, that allows you to interchange or change the album pages. I love it!
So, while I'm on the scrapping kick...I thought it would be neat to try my hand at decoupaging...it was a bit gooey, but overall I am pleased with the results and would look forward to another project like this one. P for Perry
Why just leave scrapbooking for books? I decided to make some neat scrap pages and display them in picture frames. I made four (4) total, one for each of my boys...they were actually excited to see a page made just for them on the wall! I guess that changes things!
My great friend, Andrea, invited me to an all night scrapping event back in November...I absolutely loved it! From there out, I was hooked! The women were so much fun, so helpful and so experienced with scrapping that I hungered for more and more...so I joined this amazing scrapbooking group! Here's a photo of all of us at a PJ & Scrap party (I'm waaay in the back, with all the tall peeps).
Since I've been bitten with the scrapping bug, I can't stop scrapping! I've learned so many amazing techniques, and I just can't stop creating...this is perfect downtime for me...as I love to feel productive! Enjoy!
I'm not a crafter by nature, it is learned, sometimes tirelessly and frustratingly to my demise. Naturally, I'm a painter and I love all things trompe l'oiel. Everything can be improved, tweaked or adjusted, it's a constant energy. My husband and four sons catapult me into new territories artisticly by stifling my creative time allowence. Liken it to rushing waters through a floodgate. In the end, ART is and always will be my greatest therapy.
